Scripture: Isaiah 53:1-12; John 1:29-31
Speaker: Jeff Hill
Christ as the Lamb finds its meaning from the Passover. There was great grief in Egypt for the loss of their first born due to Pharaoh’s commitment to keep Israel as his slaves. A lamb substituted for the firstborn of the Israelite’s to keep their family whole. For the sake of the human family, Father God offers his one and only son to free us from slavery to sin. In dying to self we find ourselves and the life God intends for us.
