We are not born doing it but designed for it. Over a span of time and numerous trials we often get it but even when we become proficient we don’t always do it perfectly. So what choices do we have? Don’t try, don’t fail, I’m good but stuck in the same place. Try and succeed, try and fail, try because I’m going somewhere.
So walking is not the goal but the means. Focusing on the means we can get frustrated and quit. Focusing on the goal, we manage the challenges of the means the best we can in order to receive the reward of the goal to which the means moves us.
As we get close to the end of Israel’s journey to the Promised Land, we must remember the ever present driving force that energizes the journey, God’s Continual Desire To Bless.
