Col. 3:16-17; Acts 2:42-47; Deut 6:4-9
If the foundation of accountability is loving others with God’s love, how can one build on that foundation? Colossians 3:16-17 mentions being deeply formed by God’s Word, and out of this formation flows wisdom to teach and admonish each other, and to praise God with thanksgiving.
Spending time together in fellowship is a wonderful thing, but without the Word it is not accountability. The Word is a wonderful thing, but without fellowship it’s all but impossible to do what Colossians 3 suggests.
The best of both worlds is to have fellowship + the Word (see Acts 2:42-47).
