Sunday morning Bible class is currently studying Proverbs. Wednesday evening Bible class is starting Revelation. A 6:00 PM Sunday evening Communion and Devotional Service can be requested by Wednesday if needed.
If you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home.
Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.
Family Bible Day is planned for today, (skit at 9, worship at 10, followed by a sloppy joe and hot dog meal, carnival games and ice cream sundaes). Invite your friends and neighbors.
The Elkhorn Church of Christ plans to host Sunday Night Live today at 4 pm.
A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m.
Next Sunday, 11/17/24 is Orphan Sunday. A box is planned for donations to Orphan’s Lifeline International.
Special Events
Family Bible Day. A skit on the story of Jonah is planned for today at 9:00am and Rex plans to present the application in his lesson during the worship service. Afterward, a hot dog and sloppy joe lunch is planned for everyone, with an ice cream parlor. This is for the whole family – kids and adults. Please invite neighbors, friends, and family. The Hampton Avenue Church of Christ is planning a Youth Day on November 17, all are invited.
The annual Senior Thanksgiving Dinner is planned for Saturday November 23 at noon.
The annual Fireside Dinner Theatre outing is planned for Saturday December 7, arrive by 10:30 AM in Fort Atkinson. Cost is $78.95 (due November 7) plus tip per person to see Miracle on 34th Street. See the Miscellaneous bulletin board for sign up and food choices.
A Teen Movie Night is planned for Friday December 13 at 6 pm.
A WCYC Camp Meeting is planned for Saturday December 14.
A Kringle Fellowship with Grace Hiller is planned for Sunday December 15 at 8 am (before Bible class).
A Blue Christmas / Longest Night special service is planned for Wednesday December 18.
Regular Events
The Thursday Morning Ladies’ Bible Class is studying I Peter each week at 10 am. Please see Peggy Koch or Allison Morrill for details. A Zoom meeting is also planned.
“Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Please see Christine Saunders for details.
Mid-week study at the building, Wednesday, 7 pm. A Zoom virtual meeting is also set up.
A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m., and after morning worship on the first Sunday of each month.
The First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Study Group is planned for the first Tuesday of each month (Sept.-June), 6:30 pm, at the building with food. Dan Giombi has details.
The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May.
Opportunities
Toni Bully is asking for donations of Christmas garland to be used to make wreaths. If you would like to help, please bring it to the building and put it in the office with her name.
Allison Morrill is needing helpers for children’s worship.

If you have printer cartridges to recycle, a box has been placed where you can put them and support Schultz Lewis Child and Family Services at the same time. Funds are also being raised from “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.

There’s a special group of people here at Southside that are ages 55 and older, called Club 55. They hold fellowship events, things for other age groups, and service projects that reach out to Milwaukee and beyond. When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events. This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.
If you know someone who is getting married or having a baby, please let Sarah Borges, Lisa Bane (English/Spanish), or Rosio Gamino (English/Spanish) know. Southside arranges a gift for first-time couples who are members of the Church and for the first child of members of the Church.
