Sunday morning Bible class is currently studying Luke.  Wednesday evening Bible class is in Revelation.

Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.

A soup and sandwich Luncheon right after worship and Family Meeting is being planned for today.  Please bring a soup (preferably in a Crock pot), premade sandwiches, or a dessert, to share.  Please, bring foods that won’t need to be prepared/baked at the building, so set up and cleanup is simple.  Topics for the Family Meeting include: Trustee selection; Financial update; Worship Focus Group; and what the Leadership Team is studying.

A Teen Get-Together is planned at the Elkhorn Church of Christ, 4:00 pm today.

The Hampton Ave Church of Christ, 5705 W. Hampton Ave, is planning a Men’s breakfast March 29 at 8:30 am.

Special Events

Southside is planning a Men’s Sheepshead and Game Night on Friday, April 18, 2025, 6 pm, in the fellowship hall.  Come to play Sheepshead or bring your favorite game.  If possible, bring a favorite snack or beverage to share.  Contact Brad Stanger or Wayne Alexander with any questions.

The Hampton Avenue Church is planning Gospel Meetings for April 24, 25, 26 at 7 pm; and April 27 at 10 am.

A Ladies Day Program is planned for May 3.

The Brentwood Church of Christ, 6424 N. 60th St, is planning Spring Gospel Meetings on May 4 – 7 at 7:00 pm.

The Hampton Avenue Church is planning a VBS for July 14 at 6 pm.

The Waukesha Church of Christ, 2816 Madison St. is planning their Kick Start Summer Reading Program and Volunteer Opportunity for July 28 – 31st 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM (apply to help by June 1).

WCYC 2025 camp dates: Busqueda June 25-29; Senior June 29-July 12; Intermediate July 13-26; Junior July 27-August 2; Family August 2-6

Regular Events

The Thursday Morning Ladies’ Bible Class is studying Philippians each week at 10 am.  Please see Peggy Koch or Allison Morrill for details.  A Zoom meeting is also planned.

Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.  Please see Christine Saunders for details.

Mid-week study at the building, Wednesday, 7 pm.  A Zoom virtual meeting is also set up.

A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m., and after morning worship on the first Sunday of each month.

The First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Study Group is planned for the first Tuesday of each month (Sept.-June), 6:30 pm, at the building with food.  Dan Giombi has details.

The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May.

Opportunities

A Red Cross blood drive at Southside is planned for Friday April 4 from noon to 5.  Browse to redcrossblood.org or call 800-733-2767 to make an appointment.

If you have printer cartridges to recycle, a box has been placed where you can put them and support Schultz Lewis Child and Family Services at the same time.  Funds are also being raised from “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.

Reminders

When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events.  This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.

If you know someone who is getting married or having a baby, please let Sarah Borges, Lisa Bane (English/Spanish), or Rosio Gamino (English/Spanish) know.  Southside arranges a gift for first-time couples who are members of the Church and for the first child of members of the Church.
