Sunday Hand Out Information 4-6-2025

Today is First Sunday First Fruits.  Tables are set up in room 4 for items.

Sunday morning Bible class is currently studying Luke.  Wednesday evening Bible class is in Revelation.

Pick up a communion pack if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.

Today, about 5 minutes after the worship, we are planning 15 minutes of prayer in the fellowship room for Southside.

A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m.

The Club 55 Committee is planning to meet after services on Sunday, April 13 to plan activities for the remainder of 2025 and early 2026.  Sub Sandwiches are to be provided along with chips and cookies.

Special Events

Southside is planning a Men’s Sheepshead and Game Night on Friday, April 18, 2025, 6 pm, in the fellowship hall.  Come to play Sheepshead or bring your favorite game.  If possible, bring a favorite snack or beverage to share.  Contact Brad Stanger or Wayne Alexander with any questions.

Southside is planning an Easter Family Event on Saturday April 19 from 4 to 7 pm.

WCYC has scheduled workdays at the camp on Saturday April 19 and May 17.

The Hampton Ave Church of Christ, 5705 W. Hampton Ave, is planning Gospel Meetings April 24 – 26 at 7 pm and April 27 at 10 am; VBS July 14 at 6:00 pm

WCYC is planning a Youth Rally for April 25-27.  Cost is $25.  Contact kayde.johson@wcyc.org.  See Scott Saunders or Kevin Morrill about transportation options.

A Ladies Day Program is planned for May 3 from 9:30 to 11:30 am.

The Brentwood Church of Christ, 6424 N. 60th St, is planning Spring Gospel Meetings on May 4 – 7 at 7:00 pm.

WCYC is planning a Community Day for June 7.

The Waukesha Church of Christ, 2816 Madison St. is planning their Kick Start Summer Reading Program and Volunteer Opportunity for July 28 – 31st 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM (apply to help by June 1).

WCYC 2025 camp dates: Busqueda June 25-29; Senior June 29-July 12; Intermediate July 13-26; Junior July 27-August 2; Family August 2-6

Regular Events

The Thursday Morning Ladies’ Bible Class is studying Philippians each week at 10 am.  Please see Peggy Koch or Allison Morrill for details.  A Zoom meeting is also planned.

Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.  Please see Christine Saunders for details.

Mid-week study at the building, Wednesday, 7 pm.  A Zoom virtual meeting is also set up.

A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m., and after morning worship on the first Sunday of each month.

The First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Study Group is planned for the first Tuesday of each month (Sept.-June), 6:30 pm, at the building with food.  Dan Giombi has details.

The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May.

Opportunities

If you have printer cartridges to recycle, a box has been placed where you can put them and support Schultz Lewis Child and Family Services at the same time.  Funds are also being raised from “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.

Reminders

When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events.  This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.

If you know someone who is getting married or having a baby, please let Sarah Borges, Lisa Bane (English/Spanish), or Rosio Gamino (English/Spanish) know.  Southside arranges a gift for first-time couples who are members of the Church and for the first child of members of the Church.
