Soles For Jesus, sorting shoes to go to Africa. Children over the age of 12 welcome – accompanied by a parent.

The Soles for Jesus collection of shoes is ending on Saturday morning, August 3rd, when we deliver the shoes to the warehouse and help sort donations. Please look through your shoes to find Lightly Used shoes to donate. Bring them to the building on next Sunday and put them in the collection boxes: Only Shoes/Boots please!! NO CLOTHING/other items please.

The shoes are collected, sorted by volunteers like us, and shipped over to Africa, to an organization that offers these very shoes you donate to those in need.

A pair of shoes can save a life, not only physically, but spiritually! YOU can have an impact on someones life on the other side of the world! The recipients line up, some times for days ahead, just to have the chance to have their feet wash, (just like someone you know).They are fitted with a pair of shoes, and then asked if they would like to pray together, get a Bible, or to learn about Jesus and a loving God and Spirit who could make a difference in their lives.

Volunteers in the summer months are virtually non-existent, and WE ARE NEEDED at this time! Please consider helping us on Sat., August 3rd, to sort shoes; we leave the building at 8:30 a.m. SHARP to go up to the Holland Bulb building, 8480 North 87th St., Milwaukee 53224, enter at the North side of the warehouse, where you see the SFJ sign. Ages 12 and up with an adult present to help them.

It’s a hectic time of year, I know, and we have very few volunteers that have signed up: PLEASE either meet us at the building Before 8:30 a.m., or Meet us at the warehouse BEFORE 9 A.M.
