We generally want many things while thinking they will provide lasting satisfaction. The rich young ruler wanted eternal life but seemed to desire and be devoted to earthly wealth. Prayerfully consider before Sunday what you are desiring and to which you are devoted that received more of your life’s energy than the kingdom of God for which Christ sacrificed his life so that you may have life eternal.
