Scripture: Psalm 16

The desire to be “right” can 1) be the cause for continued conflict or 2) be the motivating factor that resolves conflict. The first places self as being most important and the goal is “winning”, one is right the other is wrong. The second identifies “winning” as reconciliation of a relationship and being in right standing with another. The relationship is placed back in it’s proper place. Both seeking the best interest of self and the other. It is challenging when we are the one’s who were wrong and must do most of the changing to make the relationship right. Thanks be to God, though we have wronged Him, He makes it possible that we can be right with Him.
