This week

Next week, we are planning to collect nonperishable food items for the First Sunday First Fruits program.  The food will be shared with those in need.  Please see Danny Giombi or Jeff Hill for details.

Evening worship is planned for 6:00 p.m. today with the subject Divine Conspiracy.

The signup period for the Fireside dinner theater production of Miracle on 34th Street is ending soon.  If you wish to attend, please sign up outside the coatroom and see Sandie Copass.

A 6:00 a.m. Tuesday early morning Weekly Men’s Study is scheduled at the Church building.

Special Events

The area-wide Church Of Christ picnic is planned for Saturday August 12 at Kletchz Park Area 3 and 4 from 11:00 to 3:00.

Club 55 members are invited to a picnic at the home of Cliff and Sandie Copass, Saturday, August 19.

Sandie Copass is organizing a group outing to the Fireside Theatre for December 9.  Cost is $67.95 per person and includes dinner.  After signing up, please see Sandie to make your down payment.

Regular Events

A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m.


The Morrill’s have a new address: see us for details.

We have an attended nursery for small children during morning worship periods in room 2.  We also have a training room at the rear of the auditorium where parents can stay with their little ones.

A children’s worship is scheduled to begin near the start of the lesson time.  Children’s Worship is for age 3 thru Grade 3.

Free CD’s of the Sunday morning sermons are available from Joel Ribar.  Be sure to specify the date desired.  MP3 copies of sermons are also available at the church web site.

The Library is open after classes and the worship period.  Don’t forget to return any overdue books to the library.  There is a book return box located in the entry way next to the picture board.

Mid-week group meetings are planned in several locations:
Werner’s home, Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., “Who is this Man?”
At the building, Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. classes for children,
Santana’s home, Wednesday 7:00 p.m., Romans
Young Adults, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., contact Josh Stafford for details.

Prayer Requests

Vicky McCormick is in St. Luke’s Hospital after receiving a replacement kidney Thursday.  Please pray for a smooth recovery.  She was in ICU for close monitoring at last report.

Doris Wihowski is looking for a full-time job with live-able pay. Please ask the Father to bless her search.

Jim Nichols requests our prayers for his brother Dan.  Dan’s son Josh passed away in September and his birthday would have been July 24.

Marco Alicea is scheduled for a hip replacement August 2.

Sandra Ferry requests prayers for 12 year old Quinn Lisak who has leukemia.

Patti Schultz asks for prayers as she goes through respiratory rehabilitation and as she deals with trigger fingers.  She also requests prayers for her husband, Al, that he will hear God’s voice.

Juan Santana wishes to thank all who prayed for him while he was at camp and who prayed for his family.  “While I think God is good all the time, all the time God is good.”

Jerry Seidner had successful surgery to remove a cancerous kidney.  He is also being treated for a blood clot in his leg.

Troy Jensen’s father Jim has ongoing health issues and lung cancer.

Karen Williams reminds us to please pray for our staff and campers at Junior Camp – God is being glorified through their loving kindness.

Eric Jones asks prayers for his sister who is going through a lot of personal problems.

Andrea Maybin asks us to pray for co-worker, Steven H., who has been bullying her at work.  She also asks for prayers for her family.

Juanita Hernandez is thankful to our merciful God and for all the prayers offered for her.  She reports that she is back on her feet and asks for our continued prayers for complete recovery.

Elizabeth Dickson asks us to pray for her as she struggles with uncertainty in which way to turn and as she tries to remember to always put God first.

Alex Crivello asks for our prayers for his strength as he remembers the sudden death of his mother 16 years ago on July 20.

Mark and Karen Van Handel asks us to pray for their neighbor, Joe, who is involved in some legal proceedings – that the court may show him mercy and that his faith in God may grow and shine.

Karen Van Handel asks us to pray that the spiritual lessons learned at WCYC give much growth.

Julie Shuster asks prayers for her brother, Bill, who battles with an ongoing chemical addiction.  Pray that he may find faith in God through Jesus, and that he would find a community of believers to help him in his journey.

Jerry Kutcheid has been undergoing treatment for lung cancer since January, which appears to be successful.  A PET Scan is planned and Jerry thanks you for your prayers.

Patti Schultz (a visitor) asks prayers for her daughter Sara Wroblewski who has an auto immune disorder, for Al Shultz to come to church, and for her Aunt Katie and Uncle Irv’s salvation.

Mary Brown’s mother is dealing with sciatica.

Others with health issues include: Barb Dawson, Shirley Arnott, and Diane Santana.
