Club 55 is sponsoring a “Trip to Albania” Saturday, September 23 1:00 p.m., through the eyes of a missionary family at Southside. Please wear red and black. Kevin and Allison Morrill, are hosting. Cost is $10 with includes a Light Albanian meal, with dishes that they eat on a weekly basis. The deadline to sign up is today. Family and Friends are welcome.
The next church family meeting is planned for September 24 at 1:00 p.m. Please bring sandwiches and salads for a light potluck lunch after worship. No evening service is planned this day.
The annual Midwest Preachers Retreat is planned for September 25-27 at WCYC with the theme “Redigging the Wells”. Anyone is welcome to attend, (not just preachers). The keynote speaker is Ken Curkowski, from Abilene Christian University, who plans to speak on “Corinth and Paul’s Theology” focusing on I Corinthians.
Packing shoes for Jesus is planned for Saturday October 14 as we send collected shoes to Africa. For ages 12 and up.
The annual give-away is planned for Saturday October 21.
Trunk or Treat is planned for October 28.
Club 55 is planning a “Christmas around the World” party on Saturday, December 2.
Sandie Copass is organizing a group outing to the Fireside Theatre for December 9. Cost is $67.95 per person and includes dinner. Please see Sandie to make your down payment.
We are conducting a gently used shoe drive for African needy. There is a collection box in each of the foyers. Funds for shipping are also needed. See Jennifier Koepke or Linda Stanger for details.

Juan Santana offers a Stretching and Strength Training class every Monday in the fellowship room at 6:00 P.M. All are invited to join. The class lasts an hour. A mat and comfortable clothes are needed. See Juan Santana if you have questions.
The weekly Ladies’ Bible Class meets on Thursdays at the building starting at 10:00 a.m. looking at the book of Isaiah.
A 6:00 a.m. Tuesday early morning Weekly Men’s Study is scheduled at the Church building.
A men’s study series is planned for the first Tuesday of each month at the building at 6:30 p.m. for a meal preceding the study. Please see Dan Giombi for details.

Many of our regular studies and events are resuming this month.
The elders are conducting a survey of preferred subjects for future adult Bible classes.
We have an attended nursery for small children during morning worship periods in room 2. We also have a training room at the rear of the auditorium where parents can stay with their little ones while worshipping.
A children’s worship is scheduled to begin near the start of the worship lesson time. Children’s Worship is intended to provide a time of worship for children age 3 thru Grade 3 and to encourage families with children. Everyone is asked to begin worship in the auditorium (adults and children). Parents should accompany their smaller children to the basement as well as children who have not attended before. Before you return upstairs, be sure to indicate to the people at the door if you would prefer us to keep your young person till you return to get them or if it is alright to let them go after the adult worship is dismissed.

The Library is open after classes and the worship period. Don’t forget to return any overdue books to the library. There is a book return box located in the entry way next to the picture board.

Vicky McCormick is at a rehab facility after being treated for an infection.
Jerry Seidner is scheduled to have additional surgery on his leg Monday, September 18.
Christine Saunders is planning an extensive surgery Wednesday, September 20, to replace a faulty mesh and repair the damage from a previous hernia surgery. This is going to require a lengthy hospital stay and a long recovery time.
Marcos Alicea is recovering from an infection in his hip after his recent hip replacement surgery.
Matt Coffey’s aunt Sherly Brantt recently had a bad fall causing a severe head injury. She is presently in St. Luke’s hospital.
Christopher Olah (friends with Jeff and Cindy Valodine), asks prayers for travelling mercies on his cross-country bicycle tour, and that he might find temporary work to fund his trip.
On the hearts of many are the victims of the recent hurricanes and the victims of the recent earthquake. Please keep all in prayer.

Katie Dahm’s friend, Angie, passed away after heart surgery. She asks for prayers for peace for Angie’s fiancé, Jim and her family.
Tony Anguiano was scheduled to have cataract surgery August 16.
