Library Book Review

”When all that is good falls apart, what can good people do? –Psalm 11:3.  Isn’t David’s question ours?  As we remember the horrors of September 11, 2001, Max Lucado addresses this in his book “America Looks Up – Reaching Toward Heaven for Hope and Healing.”  David answers his own question in verse 4 with a declaration.  “The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his throne in heaven.”  The point is unmistakable:  God is undeterred by our problems.  Buildings have fallen, but he has not.  He is still in control.  Find this in the Christian Life – Coping section.

An organization in the greater Milwaukee is collecting feminine hygiene products for women in area homeless shelters.  A donation box is in the foyer.

Please contact Shirley Cerka if you are able to help in the children’s nursery during the worship time.

The children’s ministry is in need of teachers, assistants and subs.  A strong and well supported Children’s ministry is vital to the health of any church, so please consider helping.  No previous experience is necessary.  If interested, talk to Kevin Morrill or Ken Koch.

We have an attended nursery for small children during morning worship periods in room 2.  We also have a training room at the rear of the auditorium where parents can stay with their little ones while worshipping.

A children’s worship is scheduled to begin near the start of the worship lesson time.  Children’s Worship is intended to provide a time of worship for children age 3 thru Grade 3 and to encourage families with children.

Free CD’s of the Sunday morning sermons are available from Joel Ribar.  Be sure to specify the date desired.  MP3 copies of sermons are also available at the church web site.

The Library is open after classes and the worship period.  Don’t forget to return any overdue books to the library.  There is a book return box located in the entry way next to the picture board.
